Spicy & Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken (cubed)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp red chili sauce
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Oil (for frying)
- 1 onion (cubed)
- 1 bell pepper (cubed)
- 2 green chilies (sliced)
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Spring onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, red chili sauce, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare Batter: Add cornflour, all-purpose flour, and egg to the marinated chicken. Mix well.
- Fry Chicken: Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce: In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and green chilies for 2 minutes.
- Add Flavors: Stir in tomato ketchup, dark soy sauce, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Combine: Add fried chicken and toss well until coated with sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
