Spicy & Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe


Delicious Chilli Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken (cubed)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • 1 onion (cubed)
  • 1 bell pepper (cubed)
  • 2 green chilies (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Spring onions (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, red chili sauce, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare Batter: Add cornflour, all-purpose flour, and egg to the marinated chicken. Mix well.
  3. Fry Chicken: Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Prepare Sauce: In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and green chilies for 2 minutes.
  5. Add Flavors: Stir in tomato ketchup, dark soy sauce, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Combine: Add fried chicken and toss well until coated with sauce.
  7. Serve: Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
